PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel for an internal combustion engine furnished with abrasion resistance and performance in a degree to be durable for use in heat resistance and strength and capable of lightening itself to acquire quick reaction. SOLUTION: This flywheel is constituted by integrally forming a flywheel main body 1 for an internal combustion engine and a starting ring gear part 3 to be formed on its outer peripheral part of a reinforcing aluminum material furnished with high abrasion resistance, heat resistance and high strength or a surface treated reinforcing aluminum material, accumulating a disc type clutch contact plate 4 of an abrasion resistant material on a clutch contact surface 2 provided on one surface of the flywheel main body 1, providing a plural number of bolt holes 5 through which the flywheel main body 1 and the clutch contact plate 4 are passed as they are with intervals, inserting fixing bolts 6 in the bolt holes 5 and fixing both of them free to connect and disconnect to and from each other.
