PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost by dividing steel frame building frame structure into conditions by a prescribed check process, and selecting plate thickness matched to the condition out of a plurality of plate thickness instructions. SOLUTION: Each part plate thickness is fractionated in accordance with the use part, the long side length or the like of a steel frame building frame to provide instructed tables 1, 2, and the table 1 shows thinner plate thickness than the table 2. Next, a building frame array is checked, and any one of the tables 1, 2 is selected by the result. Then, the loss part of a beam is checked, if the loss part does not exist, the table 1 is selected, and if the loss part exists, any one of the tables 1, 2 is selected according to a prescribed reference. A building frame classification is checked, if specified structure is not included, the table 1 is selected, and if it is included, the table 2 is selected. Furthermore, a structural condition is checked at a use place in each process, if a prescribed condition is cleared, the table 1 is selected, and if it is not cleared, the table 2 is selected. Thereby in the case where the table 1 is selected, the plate thickness is thinned to reduce a cost, and when the table 2 is selected, sufficient margin strength can be secured.
