PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water supply piping method for an apartment house capable of easily carrying out work for adding or removing a pressure reducing valve to a water supply circuit after piping work to every house in floors difficult to decide whether or not the reducing vale is needed is once completed in a method for branching and piping the waster supply circuit to a house in every floor from a water main for a water service. SOLUTION: A closing cover branched from a water way in a main body case 4 and closing an opening on the outside of a joint hole 45 connected to the outside of the main body case 4 and a pressure reducing valve mechanism unit 5 connected to the joint hole 45 are prepared, and a pipe joint 1 constituted of combination of the main body case 4 with the reducing valve mechanism unit 5 or a reducing valve 31 consisting of the main body case 4 and the reducing valve mechanism unit 5 is tentatively inserted in the water supply circuit. Then, after the completion of piping, when it is decided whether or not the reducing valve is needed, the reducing valve mechanism unit 5 is mounted instead of the closing cover 8 or the closing cover 8 is mounted instead of the reducing valve mechanism unit 5.
