PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive the protection and downsizing of an element and a transformer, without consuming power more than necessary at overload. SOLUTION: A power generation controller sets, based on the DC voltage generated with a power source, the PWM output to be given to a switch 112 variably such that the pulse width is large when the input voltage generated from a power source is small and that the pulse width is narrow when the input voltage is large, with a pulse generator 134, so as to take pause periods more at overload. A transformer 111 stabilizes the DC voltage to be given to a load circuit by turning on or turning off the switch 112, based on this PWM output. That is, the pulse generator 134 controls the duty ratio so as to input PWM output short in on-period to the switch when the input voltage from the power source is high, and to input PWM output long in on-period when the input voltage is the other way low.
