PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the joining of a pillar with an intermediate part of a floor frame by providing a tunnel part for passing through the floor frame in an assembling base positioned at a carry-in side of the floor frame in a right and a left assembling bases. SOLUTION: A left assembling base 12A positioned at a carry-in side of a floor frame 3 freely to be moved in right and left is provided with a tunnel part 32 for passing the floor frame 3 there through. The floor frame 3 is moved by a floor frame carry-in device 11, and carried into an assembling work area 17 through the tunnel part 32. On the other hand, pillars 2A, 2B are led along over hang rails 41A, 41B in the condition that the pillars 2A, 2B are supported by pillar supplying and supporting jigs 13A, 13B of the assembling bases 12A, 12B, and joined with the floor frame 3 at pillar joining positions. The pillars 2A, 2B supported by the pillar supplying and supporting jigs 13A, 13B are positioned at an intermediate part of the floor frame 3 by keeping a part of the floor frame 3 in the tunnel part 32, and the pillars 2A, 2B can be joined with the intermediate part of the floor frame 3.
