FREQUENCY CONVERSION CIRCUIT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize/integrate a mixer being the front end of the portable machine of a 1-2 GHz band with the condition of low power consumption. SOLUTION: A single balance mixer is constituted by using two-terminal pseudo diodes 3 end 4 where the source S and the drain D of a GaAs three terminal FET are short-circuited as a non-linear element executing a mixing operation. A 0/πconverter 1 converting a local signal into two signals whose phases are opposite can simultaneously be made into IC with the other element in the manufacture process of a GaAs system by using GaAs FET.
