PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discharge display panel of a long life provided with a negative electrode of good conductivity and excellent sputtering resistance capable of discharging stably with a low voltage on an entire screen. SOLUTION: This gas discharge display panel includes a positive electrode 11 and a negative electrode 12 exposed in a discharge space and oppositely arranged at a discharge interval, and seals the positive and negative electrodes in an air-tight container with gas capable of ionizing. At least one of the negative electrode 12 and the positive electrode 11 contains boride compound of a rear earth element and metal oxide. The boride compound of a rear earth element is at least one of hexaboride and tetraboride La, Gd, Y, Nd, and Ce, and the metal oxide contains at least one of MgO, Y2O3.
