PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion capturing apparatus capable of accurately measuring a movement of an object to be measured and having small restriction in use. SOLUTION: An angle detector 101 detects a folding angle of each joint changing according to a performer's pose. A video camera 102 images a space of a performer's circumference. A data processor 103 derives a relative position of a site of a performer's body based on a signal indicating a folding angle outputted from the detector 101, derives an angle of an absolute position of the performer based on a video signal outputted from the camera 102, and derives an absolute position of each site based on these derived results, thereby measuring a performer's movement.
