PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device of submerged motor pump which can prevent the rise of the temperature of the motor up to a high temperature exceeding a normal operation temperature, by improving the cooling effect, even through the continuous operation is carried out for a long time. SOLUTION: A cooling fluid passage 13 is provided in a main shaft 2 by penetrating in the axial direction, the front end part of the cooling fluid passage 13 is opened at the upstream side conduit 7A in a conduit, and the rear end part of the cooling fluid passage 13 is opened at the downstream side conduit 7B in the conduit. And a foreign matter invasion preventive member 14 with the plate form cross section with brim which prevents the invasion of foreign matters is installed to the rear end part opening of the cooling fluid passage 13. The foreign matter invasion preventive member 14 is fixed by plural bolts 18 and 18 fastened by penetrating the outer peripheral brim and the sleeve 17 of the foreign matter invasion preventive member 14 to the rear end boss part 16 of the tubular cover 15. A small clearance is provided between the rear end face of the main shaft 2, and the front end face of the outer peripheral brim part of the foreign matter invasion preventive member 14.
