PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact joint for a rod-shaped body in which no opening is formed in a connecting rod-shaped body even when strong tensile force is applied to a connecting section. SOLUTION: The joint for the rod-shaped body is composed of a joint body 1, in which a vertical through-hole for inserting the rod-shaped body is formed and horizontal through-holes 12 largely overlapped to the vertical through-hole 11 are formed on both sides separated by the size of at least the inserting rod-shaped body from the position of the abutting of the rod-shaped body, and interrupting bodies 2 capable of being inserted into the horizontal through-holes 12 without looseness. The sides 12c near to the center line of the joint body 1 on the cross sections of the horizontal through-holes 12 are brought near deeply to the center line of the joint body 1 on the position side of the abutting of the rod-shaped body, and inclined so as to be shallowly brought near to the center line of the joint body 1 on the inserting port side of the rod-shaped body. A plurality of irregular ridges running in the inserting direction are formed to surfaces near to the center line of the joint body 1 in the interrupting bodies 2, each ridge line is lowered linearly towards the rod-shaped body inserting port side from the position side of the abutting of the rod-shaped body, and the front end sections of each irregular ridge are pointed.
