PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a window regulator which has a structure using a belt- shaped body such as a tape, and can enhance its degree of freedom of layout. SOLUTION: A power window regulator 10 includes a motor 40 and a sprocket wheel 46 which are individually arranged at locations separate from a guide rail 16 toward the rear of a vehicle. The guide rail 16 has an upper guide 30 and a lower guide 32 arranged at upper and lower edges thereof, respectively, and a tape 48 wrap-connects the guides 30, 32, and the sprocket wheel 46 so as to form an approximate triangle. According to the above structure, even if the locations where the motor 40 and the sprocket wheel 46 are installed are changed, only the tape 48 forms a deformed triangle, and therefore the motor 40 and the sprocket 46 can be set at arbitrary locations. As a result, the degree of freedom of layout of the window regulator can be enhanced.
