PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer for grating capable of achieving the preventive countermeasures against a 'play' of a grating in the installed attitude while the grating is installed in the grating which is fitted to and installed in a receiving part of a gutter. SOLUTION: This grating spacer 10 comprises a wedge-like spacer to be inserted in a clearance C between a lower surface of both sides of a grating 1 in which right and left sides are placed and set on a receiving part 6 of a gutter 5 and an upper surface 7 of the receiving part 6, i.e., a stopper projection 11 of the tapered shape to be gradually higher from a forward part to a rear part which prevents the coming-off in the taper direction, and further provided with an operation bar connection comprising a nut part 12 capable of connecting an operation bar 13 to a rear end portion of the upper surface in an attachable/ detachable manner, and a spacer 10 connected to the operation bar 13 is inserted from a gap of the grating 1 in the installed condition, and inserted and set in the clearance C.
