MANUFACTURE OF BATTERY CASE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of the thickness of a bottom wall at a part of a breakage induction groove. SOLUTION: After a case body 5 is placed in a recess 14 of a female die 13 with its bottom wall 2 downside, an elevating/lowering panel waiting at the elevated position is lowered and the bottom wall 2 of the case body 5 is pressed against a groove forming projection 15 by a lower part of a punch 17. A breakage induction groove is formed in a bottom part 3a of a recess 3 in this work.
