PURPOSE: A lens housing control device of zoom camera and a method are provided, which corrects focus error from back flash at the zoom operation. So it can simplify zoom operation of zoom camera. CONSTITUTION: The device contains; (1) zoom switch selecting zoom operation that has move lens housing from wide direction to tele direction or from tele direction to wide direction; (2) lens housing-moving means which has move lens housing to pertinent zoom position at the zoom operation; (3) lens housing position detector outputting zoom signature by detecting zoom position according to moving of lens housing; and (4) control instrument carrying out zoom operation by operating the lens housing moving step if the zoom switch is operated, distinguishing the zoom position according to zoom signature output from the lens housing position detector and stopping operation of the lens housing moving means if the zoom switch doesn't operate at the zoom operation. The lens housing control method contains; (i) the step of distinguishing whether selection of zoom operation or not that moving lens housing from wide direction to tele direction or from tele direction to wide direction; (ii) the step of moving lens housing to tele direction or to wide direction in case of selecting the zoom operation according to zoom switch operation; (iii) the step of distinguishing whether the operation of zoom switch stop or not; and (iv) the step of stopping the movement of lens housing if the operation of zoom switch is stop. |
