CHOLESTERIC LIQUID CRYSTAL COLOR FILTER

PURPOSE: A cholesteric liquid crystal color filter is provided to be capable of realizing a predetermined color with the filter of a single-layer structure by using the filter with two or more pitches. CONSTITUTION: The cholesteric liquid crystal color filter comprises a plurality of color filter regions(51-1,51-2,51-3). The (B+G) color filter region(51-1) is a color filter region which has a pitch for reflecting a blue ray of light and a pitch for reflecting a green ray of light. The (R+G) color filter region(51-2) is a color filter region which has a pitch for reflecting a red ray of light and a pitch for reflecting a green ray of light. The (B+R) color filter region(51-3) is a color filter region which has a pitch for reflecting a blue ray of light and a pitch for reflecting a red ray of light.
