PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cooling efficiency of a piston chamber and a motor in a reciprocating pump in which a piston reciprocating in a cylinder is continuously connected to a drive shaft connected to a motor through a connecting rod, and an axial fan is set on the drive shaft by providing an air stirring plate on the connecting rod. SOLUTION: When a motor 13 is operated, a piston 22 is reciprocated in a cylinder 21 through an eccentric member 17 and a connecting rod 23 by the rotation of its drive shaft 14. The gas sucked through an inlet valve 26C in the inlet stroke of the piston 22 is compressed in the compression stroke of the piston 22 and discharged to a discharge chamber 27 through a discharge valve 27C. In this case, an axial fan 30 is connected to the drive shaft 14 of the motor 13, and the outside air is taken into a piston chamber 24 by the rotation of the axial fan 30 and further fed to the motor 13 side, whereby the cooling of the piston chamber 24 and the motor 13 is performed. A disc-like air stirring plate 40 is provided in the middle part of the connecting rod 23 to improve the cooling efficiency of the piston chamber 24.
