METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PRESENTATION OF PRESENTATION DATA UNIT, DIGITAL VIDEO SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SEQUENCE OF DIGITAL ENCODED VIDEO DATA UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy replay by deciding a replay start time in response to a replay demand and restarting presenting a presentation data unit from a replay start time. SOLUTION: When a disc player receives an instant replay demand of a viewer, the disc player evaluates and stores an elapsed time of current presentation. The current presentation elapsed time is subtracted by a desired number of seconds and a desired presentation time is decided. When a navigation pack (NAV-PACK) address corresponding to the desired presentation time is stored in a memory, the presentation started with the NAV-PACK is restarted and a subtitle is automatically turned on. When it is not stored, the desired presentation time and the NAV-PACK address are decided by using a time search algorithm.
