PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery holding device making it easy to take out a flat-type battery and having a contact terminal prevented from being caught in a groove in the battery when taking out the battery. SOLUTION: In this holding device, a stopper 1a for holding a flat battery 4 in a main body 1 is provided on a part of a battery insertion part, and contact terminals 3 are provided in a position forming an angleαagainst an axis connecting the center of the stopper 1a and that of the battery while another stopper 1b in a position forming an angleβ. End parts of the contact terminals 3 are each formed into a bent shape, and a battery holding plate 1c is provided with a step.
