PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installing structure of an external facing material causing no flapping even after execution work, improving waterproofness and workability and also having a snow stopping function. SOLUTION: This installing structure is composed of a waterproof and snow stopping tool X formed of a plate-like external facing material, a horizontal sheet-like batten part 18, a lower piece 20 for upwardly projecting the lower edge of the batten part 18, a locking piece 21 for inwardly projecting the tip of the lower piece 20, a locking groove 22 formed of the lower piece 20 and the locking piece 21 and a snow stopping piece 23 for upwardly projecting the tip of the locking piece 21, the waterproof and snow stopping tool X is fixed to the reverse of a joint part of left/right connecting parts of the external facing material A, and a lower connecting part of the external facing material is inserted into and fixed to the locking groove 22 in the joint part.
