PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality and low cost vehicle AC generator, in which damages of insulating films and coils are suppressed. SOLUTION: Each coil segment 40 comprises a 1st straight part 40a which is inserted into a slot 15a, while its one end is extended in one side in the axial direction of a stator core 15, a 2nd straight part 40b which is continuous with the other end of the 1st straight part 40a with a single bend therebetween and extended in the other side in the axial direction of the stator core 15 and a 3rd straight part 40c, which is continuous with the 2nd straight part 40b with a single bend therebetween and extended in a direction parallel with the direction of the 1st straight part 40a. Respective end parts of two coil segments 40, which are inserted into the slots 15a apart from each other by three slots, are connected to each other to constitute a stator coil 35.
