PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-developable photosensitive material high in sensitivity, low in fogging, good in tone, and superior in storage stability and image storage stability (especially, in the case of a black-and-white heat-developable photosensitive material), its manufacturing method, its processing method, and the methods for forming and recording the image by using them. SOLUTION: The head-developable photosensitive material contains photosensitive silver halide grains, organic silver grains, a reducing agent for silver ions, and a binder on a support, and transition metal atoms selected from groups VI-X of the periodic table exist in the photosensitive silver halide grains in an amount of >=1×10-6 and <1×10-2 mol/1 mol of the above silver halide grains, and these transition metals present in the outsides of the above silver halide grains in an amount of >=1×10-9 and <1×10-6 mol/1 mol the above silver halide grains.
