PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a servo track having high position precision in a hard disk in the method for aligning a hard disk device with a non-contact servo track writer among servo track writers used when a servo track is formed on the hard disk of the hard disk device. SOLUTION: A hard disk device 12 is aligned with a non-contact servo track writer by providing displacement to the position of the base surface 30 of the hard disk device 12 with respect to the base surface of the non-contact servo track writer so as to observe the position detection errorΔXerr of the seeking direction of a hard disk arm with respect to the master arm of the non-contact servo track writer, and selecting displacement so as to reduce this position detection errorΔXerr as much as possible.
