PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the distortions of received signals caused by an automatic gain controller(AGC) at a low cost by controlling a gain setting means to vary the gain at a signal position excluding a signal section where the prescribed demodulation processing is performed to a modulated signal. SOLUTION: A timing instruction signal T.CNT that is outputted from a timing generator controls the gain switching timing for AGC of an IF amplifier. The pulse of the signal T.CNT is included in a single symbol and outputted at a point t1 of time that is set within a guard interval as the prescribed timing before a fast Fourier transfer(FFT) window is set at an H level. Then the pulse of the signal T.CNT is outputted at a point t6 of time that is set within a subguard interval as the prescribed timing after the FFT window is set at an L level.
