PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid-state image pickup device for balancing the transfer time of a pixel signal and a transfer time for reading, and for reading with high picture quality and without resolution deterioration even when a sensor has high density. SOLUTION: In this solid image pickup device, plural pixel signals are outputted with arbitrary time intervals, and plural pixel signals are outputted with arbitrary time intervals from plural storage parts for storing the plural pixel signals. Moreover, in a solid-state image pickup device for reading plural pixel signals connected with one signal transfer line, while a certain pixel signal is transferred to the pixel signal storing part, the other pixel signals connected with the same signal line which are already transferred to the storage part are outputted from the storage part.
