PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and to improve beauty in appearance as the product for the operation mechanism of the opening/closing detection switch of a liquid crystal monitor part. SOLUTION: In this camcorder 1, a monitor part opening/closing detection switch 77, which detects the opening and closing of a liquid crystal monitor part 10 fitted to a camcorder body openably and closably by a biaxial hinge mechanism 25 to turn ON-OFF a monitor screen, is incorporated in the mechanism 25, and a harness cover 79 for covering the outside of a harness inserted to the inside of the mechanism 25 is open/close-driven by the part 10 to ON- OFF-operate the switch 77 by the harness cover 79.
