The patterns differ in the laying of the ground yarns in the material and the laying of the patterning yarns. The patterns also have different yarn densities and use different yarn materials. Fusible yarns are at the edges of the pattern zones, together with reinforcement yarns, so that the patterned zones can be separated from the fabric.
