PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness in ensuring safety in case of the occurrence of abnormality such as the lock of a motor. SOLUTION: This private part washing device is provided with a motor for drying, deodorizing or for a water pump; a control means 8 for controlling driving of the motor; a power circuit for supplying power to the motor and control means 8; and an operating switch 7 for inputting operation instructions of drying, deodorizing or washing. The control means 8 is provided with a detecting means for detecting the voltage fluctuation of a control circuit system or a motor circuit system after the operation instruction input to the operating switch 7 which results in driving the motor, and a protecting means for stopping output to the motor circuit system upon receiving abnormal detection output from the detecting means. In case of the occurrence of such a situation that a large current flows to the motor as the case of the lock of the motor after the operation instruction input which results in driving the motor, this situation is detected through the voltage drop of the control circuit system or motor circuit system, and the motor is stopped.
