PURPOSE: A composite business machine is provided to prevent the solidifying of print nozzles in the process of scanning by independently driving a print unit or a scan unit from each other, thereby maintaining high quality printing. CONSTITUTION: A composite business machine includes a scan unit(12) mounted with a scan carrier at a first directional end of a sliding shaft(18) for fixing and supporting a scan assembly, the scan carrier reciprocating in the first direction on the sliding shaft for scanning in a first motion and coupled with a first coupling element in the first motion direction, a print unit(16) mounted with a print carrier at a second directional end of the sliding shaft for fixing and supporting a print assembly, the print carrier reciprocating in the second direction on the sliding shaft for printing in a second motion and coupled with a second coupling element in the second motion direction, and a shuttle carrier(14) mounted to the sliding shaft and having a third coupling element to be coupled with the first and second coupling elements, wherein the shuttle carrier is coupled with either the scan unit or the print unit for carrying out the first or second motion.
