PURPOSE: A residual toner removing method for an image forming device and a device thereof are provided to recover toner remaining on a developing roller to a supplying roller by raising a supplying voltage higher than a developing voltage, thereby obtaining optimum printing quality and preventing the pollution of printing papers. CONSTITUTION: A residual toner removing method for an image forming device includes the steps of checking a non-developing area for which a printing operation is not carried out(S3), boosting a supplying voltage to be higher than a developing voltage of a second level if the non-developing area is determined(S4), and reducing the supplying voltage to a first level after a predetermined time from the beginning of the boosting step(S5,S6).
