PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic door device with a frontage sufficiently utilized for installing a door for going in and out of persons and the movable territory of the door can be made smaller compared with the case of a turning door to be easily used in that degree. SOLUTION: This automatic door device A1 is provided with first and second doors D1, D2, first and second side members S1, S2 respectively connected with the doors D1, D2 through hinges, and a driving device for opening/closing the first and second doors D1, D2. The side member S1, (S2) is regulated the movement in the direction making line square with the extending direction of the door D1, (D2) at closed position, and it can be moved in the direction. The driving device respectively rectilinearly drives the side members S1, S2 to open/close the doors D1, D2. The open position of the door D1, (D2) is on the position where the extending direction of the door D1, (D2) becomes in parallel with the moving direction of the side member S1, (S2), and the position where the swing angle against the side member S1, (S2) becomes nearly 180 deg..
