<p>Methods of determining the presence/absence of coupling factor 6 (CF6), which is a subunit of a proton-translocating ATPase occurring in mitochondria, in blood and measuring the concentration of the factor in blood by using a CF6 antibody, etc.; and techniques of treating various diseases by clarifying the relationships of the changes in the concentration of the factor in blood, production of prostacyclin in association with these changes, cPLA2 activity, etc. with the diseases to thereby inhibit or potentiate the factor and diagnosing various diseases based on these findings. A process of efficiently producing CF6 or its fragment by using a vector containing a DNA encoding CF6 or its fragment.</p> |
