PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a take up to reduce the occurrence of a creak to the friction contraposition of the take up. SOLUTION: In this take up 1 for a tension drive member, a revolving arm 3 is provided. A rotatable stretching roller hitting the tension drive member is disposed at the free end part of the revolving arm, and the revolving arm 3 is rotatably supported in a casing 2 through a revolution support part consisting of a shaft 5 and a support receiving part 6. Besides, a spring element is disposed at the peripheral region of the revolution support part between the revolution arm 3 and a casing 2, and in a device being of a type that a friction disc 8 relatively non-rotatably coupled to the shaft 5 is supported to the casing 2 trough a friction lining 13, a buffer disc 15 is inserted in a space between a friction lining 13 and the casing 2.
