PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting wire to a battery by which working property and safety can be improved when the wire is assembled to the battery and the shape of a battery body can be simplified to decrease cost. SOLUTION: This invention is a structure for connecting wire to a battery in which a wire terminal 6 fixed to an end of wire 5 provided with a bolting hole 4 is fixed by a bolt to a battery terminal 3 projected more than the upper face 2 of a body of a battery 1, wherein a protecting cap 10 is provided to cover the battery terminal 3 and wire terminal 6 such that lower end 9 of the protecting cap comes in close contact with the upper face of the body 2, and a bolt 7 with non-current carrying property is passed through both a bolting hole 11 provided on the protecting cap and the bolting hole 4 of the wire terminal 6 whereby the protecting cap 10 and wire terminal 6 are tightened together to the battery terminal 3.
