PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of iron is provided to increase current density, thereby improving productivity of iron not only by greatly decreasing energy consumption and carbon dioxide generation but also by increasing a concentration of FeO in a molten calcium-ferrite electrolyte to 60% or more, and continuously manufacture iron blocks by using as a cathode the solid iron which is manufactured by carrying out electrolysis reaction at a temperature of an iron fusion point or less. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method comprises the steps of electrolyzing molten calcium-ferrite composite oxide in the ionic solution state by using as an electrolyte, and reducing iron ions contained the calcium-ferrite composite oxide to iron at cathode, wherein the calcium-ferrite composite oxide is CaO-FeO-Fe2O3, and the electrolysis is carried out at a temperature of an iron fusion point or less so that solid iron is manufactured.
