PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the water-repelling and waterproofing treatment of feather comprising the spraying of a water-repelling and waterproofing agent in a drying process of washed and dehydrated feather to effectively attach the agent to the feather without using a binder and giving a feather quilt having high bulkiness and improved durability, easily washable at home without delivering to a particular laundry and dryable in a short time after washing. SOLUTION: A solution of a tetrafluoroethylene polymer is sprayed in a drying chamber in the drying of washed and dehydrated feather at 125-135 deg.C and 2.5-3.5 kg/cm2 pressure to apply the solution to the feather without using a binder and achieve the water-repelling waterproofing treatment of the feather. |
