PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binary processing technology of halftone image in an ink jet recording method for a medium, especially a cloth, in which the carriage speed is sustained at a high level in the main scanning direction without causing deterioration of image or lowering of density thereof. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording method for recording an image by means of a recording head scanning in the direction orthogonal to the carrying direction of an objective medium, the number of maximum continuous pixels of each ink in the scanning direction of the recording head is preset at a maximum continuous dot on number storing section 4. An interesting pixel is then subjected to binarization by error diffusion method such that the preset maximum continuous dot on number is not exceeded while counting the number of continuous dots of each ink, e.g. yellow, magenta, cyan, black. |
