PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographtc photoreceptor having high resolution and a long service life. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is a positive charge type and has a monolayer type photosensitive layer containing at least an electric charge generating compound (e.g. phthalocyanines), a hole transferring compound (e.g. an arylamine compound) and an electron transferring compound (e.g. a perylene compound) on the electrically conductive substrate. The oxidation potential of the hole transferring compound to a saturated calomel electrode is <=0.90 V. The thickness of the photosensitive layer is preferably >=45μm.
