PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope whose reproducibility on position is high, when plural constitution elements constituting a main body are connected and which can economically be constituted. SOLUTION: A connection means 8 for first and second casings 41 and 42 is provided with two positioning pins 81, which are protrusively installed in the casing 42, an engagement hole 82 formed in the first casing 41 and to which the positioning pin 81 is engaged and a set screw 83 which is screwed to the first casing 41 at right angles to the positioning pin 81. When the set screw 83 is advanced, while the tip part 83A of the set screw 83 abuts on the inclination face 811A of the groove 811 of the positioning pin 81, the positioning pin 81 is energized to a shaft direction and main inclination face 811A-side. Thus, they are connected in a state, where they are closely stuck to the first and second casings 41 and 42. Then, since a dovetail groove work is not necessary, a microscope can be constituted economically.
