PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer of an organosilicon compound excellent in reactivity and useful as a silane coupling agent and a resin modifier. SOLUTION: This polymer of the organosilicon compound can be obtained by carrying out a ring-opening polymerization of the organosilicon compound represented by formula [I]. The polymer has a composition formula of C5H12O3 Si, and includes a structural unit selected from the following formulas [II], [III], [IV] and [V]: [II] (O1/2(CH2)3SiO3/2); [III] (O1/2(CH2)3Si (OCH3)O2/2); [IV] (O1/2 (CH2)3Si (OCH3)2O1/2); [V] (O1/2(CH2)3Si(OCH3)3). Each of the constituent units is connected only with an Si-O-C group.
