PURPOSE: A system for transferring a panel member is provided to improve productivity, to avoid the generation of dust and damage on a panel member, and to wash the panel member during feeding. CONSTITUTION: A panel member transferring system includes conveyors(2,3) whose transferring rollers(4,5) contact with both ends(6) of a panel member(1). While supplying washing liquid from a washing liquid pipe, a body is full of the washing liquid and the washing liquid is jetted out from the upper face of a porous member. A washing liquid layer is formed between the porous members, then the panel member floats on the washing liquid layer and the friction between the panel member and the porous member is minimized. The panel member is horizontally transferred with the rotational power of the transferring rollers by making the transferring rollers contacted with both ends of the panel member. According to the minimized frictional force, sufficient feeding force is obtained. Moreover, the generation of dust due to contact is avoided.
