PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which can perform anti-thickening operation for keeping good liquid drop ejection characteristics efficiently. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises a head member 4 having a nozzle opening 17 and receiving record data corresponding to a single movement in the main scanning direction. Upon receiving the record data, the head member 4 is moved in the main scanning direction. Thickening of liquid at the nozzle opening 17 is recovered through operation of a recovery means. The time elapsed after ending previous operation of the recovery means is measured at least partially by means of a measuring timer 38. A control means 11 controls the recovery means based on the time measured by means of the measuring timer 38. |
