PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a power supply capacity without suspending conveyance of articles. SOLUTION: A plurality of zones arranged from the upstream to the downstream comprise a plurality of rollers arranged in parallel. One of rollers in each zone is a motor roller so that the articles move sequentially in these zones. Each zone has article detectors 26a-26f. The article detectors 26a-26f generate article detecting signals when a matter exists in a corresponding zone, A current detector 32 detects a total value of currents flowing through motors 10a-10f of the motor roller. When this total value exceeds a reference current value, the detector generates a current exceed detecting signal. A current suppressing circuit 30 is connected to the article detectors 26a-26f and the current detector 32. In a generated state of the current exceed detecting signal, the current suppressing circuit 30 supplies each current of which total current value is a predetermined tolerant current value to only a plurality of motors including motors in zones having the top article and the second article of all the articles.
