SUBSTANCE: method for making cast billet with shape of almost ready forging comprises steps of making preliminary blank of pressed billet with predetermined degree of incomplete forging in comparison with ready forging used for making part; making chill mold according to received dimensions and shape of preliminary forging in order to cast blanks for final forging; then casting blanks in chill molds. Such process allows to increase metal using factor from 0.15 up to 0.7 and to make cast blanks with dimensions providing structure sufficiently deformed along the whole cross section.
