PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a molded article free from the positional shift of a pattern or character at a specific part, elongation, strain or the like. SOLUTION: An injection molding in-mold decorating apparatus is used in a method wherein a decorating sheet S is inserted in the gap between both female and male molds 10, 20 and heated and softened by a hot plate 30 to be conformed to the cavity surface 12 of the female mold 10 and, after both molds are engaged and clamped, a molten resin is injected in the cavity to bond the decorating sheet S to the surface of a resin molded article. This apparatus is equipped with a press fixiture having a structure pressing a part of the decorating sheet S to the cavity surface 12 of the female mold 10 simultaneously with heating when the decorating sheet S is heated and softened after sent to the front surface of the female mold 10 and conformed to the shape of the female mold 10 by evacuating the mold 10. Since the part pressed to a press plate 31 is not stretched, the strain of the pattern of this part is reduced and the positional shift of the pattern with the shape of the mold is reduced and the positioning of the pattern can be accurately performed.
