PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer which can perform normal blur-free printing even when a thick sheet or a stiff sheet is employed by keeping parallelism between the sheet and a thermal head at the position of a heater. SOLUTION: The line thermal printer includes a thermal head (2) comprises print heaters (22) arranged in line, and a driver circuit (23) for driving the heaters (22) disposed closely thereto with a part (23a) sealing the driver circuit (23) projecting from the arranging face of the heaters (22) wherein the carrying direction of sheet is set to extend from the side opposite to the sealing part (23a) through the position of the heater (22) to the side of the sealing part (23a) at the time of printing.
