PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a delay adjusting circuit which adjusts a delay so that a code error rate becomes minimum. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a variable delay circuit 2 which delays a 1st input signal 1 corresponding to a delay control circuit 24, a fixed delay circuit 8 which delays a 2nd input signal 7 fixedly, and a delay control circuit 22 which generates a delay control signal 24 according to a signal 23 based upon code error rates of output signals 21, 11 of the variable delay circuit 2 and fixed delay circuit 8 and supplies the signal 24 to the variable delay circuit 2.
