PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information output device which outputs derailed information in merchandise in addition to essential merchandise information such as a merchandise name, a price in a form easy for a customer to find the outputted contents. SOLUTION: A measuring register 1 is provided with a receipt printing and issuing part 60 and a control part 40. The part 60 outputs merchandise information on plural pieces of merchandise. The part 40 performs control for calling plural pieces of merchandise information and outputting an essential output item and a detailed output item. The essential output item includes merchandise specifying data for specifying merchandise (a merchandise name) and merchandise price data showing the price of the merchandise (a price). The detailed output item shows detailed information on the merchandise such as a data of minimum durability, a preserving method, the name of the place of origin, material, the presence/absence of gene recombination, additives. The part 40 outputs the detailed output item to a position different from the essential output item (in rear of the essential output item).
