PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document feeder capable of preventing a motor for driving oblique correcting rollers from being desynchronized by reducing a variation in torque of reverse rotating rollers. SOLUTION: In this document feeder 1', a document D is fed from a pair of oblique correcting rollers 16 to a pair of reverse rotating rollers through a document reading part 12. Subsequently, after being fed into a reverse rotating path 40 by the pair of reverse rotating rollers 42, the document D is fed from the reverse rotating path 40 by reversing the rotation of the pair of reverse rotating rollers 42. Next, the document is fed again to the pair of oblique correcting rollers 16 through a re-feeding path 44, and fed to the document reading part 12 in the state where the upper and lower sides are reversed to each other. Either of the pair of revere rotating rollers 42 is drivingly connected to a reversible motor 43 through a torque limiter 54 so that the torque of the motor 43 above a specified limit is not transmitted to either of the reverse rotating rollers 42.
