PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pier stud extension tool for a scaffold vertical frame having a novel structure and an auxiliary extension tool having a novel structure using the vertical frame capable of easily and safely adjusting complementarily a height ranging from the ground level to the lower end of the pier strut of the vertical frame, which can not be complemented by a jack type base hardware, a pivot jack, etc. SOLUTION: The lower end side of a pier stud 8 for a scaffold vertical frame can be inserted from above the upper end of the metallic tool. A cylyndrical body having a specified length in which a threaded bar 91 for a height-adjustable jack type base hardware can be inserted is provided at the lower end side. A clamp 2 by which the lower end side middle part of the pier stud 8 can be clamped is integrally formed at the upper end of the cylindrical body. A plurality of pin holes 3, 3,... crossing the hardware boy 1 orthogonally to the axial center are bored at every specified distance along the axial center line on the peripheral face of the hardware body 1. A support pin 4 can be inserted into holes optionally selected.
