The pipe insulation consists of strips of elastomer foam with a cross-section in the shape of a parallelogram. The sloping ends (5, 6) are inclined at an angle of 150 - 170[deg] to the horizontal and have the same width (A). Adhesive strips (8, 9) with cover sheets are attached to these. The strips are fitted around the pipe and the sloping ends stuck together.
